Rodney Hood (lower back strain) questionable to play against Phoenix
Cleveland Plain Dealer | 2 months ago

PHOENIX -- Rodney Hood will participate in shootaround and is questionable to play tonight against the Phoenix Suns, Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue said.

Hood was injured the first quarter of a 116-102 loss to the Clippers Friday and missed the Cavs' 127-113 loss to the Lakers Sunday. He suffered a lower back strain.

Lue said he didn't know if Hood would start if he is indeed available to play. Hood started the Cavs' two previous games before the injury and scored a combined 28 points in the two wins.

Jeff Green started in Hood's place Sunday. Cedi Osman, who otherwise would've been in there for Hood, is out two weeks with a left hip flexor strain.

The Cavs have two open roster spots -- and currently four injured players, counting Hood, Osman, Kevin Love, and Tristan Thompson. Lue said he has not asked GM Koby Altman to fill one of the openings.
